Calgary’s newest mayor makes Canadian history

Calgary’s newest mayor makes Canadian history

I can’t tell you how much I love this story.

Canada still has a long way to go before, in my opinion, it can reach the levels of equality seen in other multi-cultural nations like the United States. As the “old boys clubs” begin to retire, we now see a new, younger, more female and culturally representative workforce and leadership.  As Canada’s next prominent city of the future, again in my opinion, Calgarians took to the voting polls and voted for the best candidate irrespective of race, religion, colour, economic status, and the rights afforded to Canadian pursuant to the Canadian Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. They simply voted for the best person for the job.

Way to go Calgary!!!!!!!!
